Outdoor Events

The Patton Homestead is an excellent venue for outdoor events. An outstanding example is how the Wenham Museum has staged its Military History Day there for the last three years to honor our veterans and military history.  Once the renovation is complete then the property may host all types of festivals, exhibits and events.

Draft plan of courtyard and terrace for exterior events

From the American Revolution to the current war on terror, the Patton Homestead - in partnership with the Wenham Museum - provides Hamilton-Wenham residents and the entire North Shore community an opportunity to honor its veterans through Military History Day, an outdoor festival featuring living-history re-enactors, military demonstrations and genuine military hardware and tanks.

Although snow was sparse, the year’s first annual Snow Day at the Homestead featured marshmallow-roasting, whoopie pies, and hiking along the property’s various trails along the river. More than 100 people availed themselves of the opportunity to explore grounds' winter habitats.
